So now it's September and we're all caught in the dreamy haze of the approaching fall. PSL's have arrived, you've started to move you're new bootie's to the front of your closet, but you just can't let go of the cute denim shorts and fun sundresses quite yet (mostly because its an Indian summer and still 90 degrees outside). For me, this is one of the most fashionably confusing times of the year to stay on trend while still dressing comfortably in the lingering heat of summer. I've found a friend in my closet staples this past week, often opting for my favorite white v-neck and go-to GAP high-waisted denim shorts.
Peep the details though. While the white tee and denim shorts combo are a summer staple, the snake-skin slides and olive green bralette add hints of upcoming fall trends. I've been loving the sneakers/slide shoe trend thats been going on (comfy + cute, yes please) and these snake skin ones are my favorite go-to's to throw on to put a look together and make my outfits a little more polished.
Can't forget about the olive green bralette to top off the comfort of this look. These bralettes rock because they are a million and one times more comfortable to wear in the heat AND they add a trendiness to any look. Not to mention its a perfect way to add a pop of a fall color, this one happening to be olive green (my fave).
One extra way to beat this Indian summer heat is through practical accessories. At the end of this summer I had been eyeing this adorable woven tote online and low and behold I walked in Target one day and they had almost the EXACT same one, but on sale (of course)!!! It's been my go-to in this sunny weather since its woven and won't get sun damage like other leather bags. Not to mention it carries everything I need including my S'well water bottle. I absolutely love these and I'm obsessed with this marble-printed one I found at a local boutique. The trendiest way to stay hydrated by-far.
I've found this simple go-to outfit and these accessorizing tips to work out well for me in this between season weather, but I'm ready to bring on the leather booties and blanket scarves for this fall season.
